The author does not suffer fools at all gladly. If you don’t understand what he says then it’s your hard luck. This is a heavy and elaborate subject dealt with in an extraordinarily humorous manner and with sympathy and love for his subject shining through. He tells it as it is quoting many a learned friend and those not quite so friendly. A fascinating insight to the age of this most famous of monarchs, dispelling many a myth.

I am married to Kath, a half-irish blonde. We have four children, three girls and a boy. We are also proud grandparents to two girls and four boys. I am a henpecked novelist having had my trilogy "The Search" published. The first is "The Gateway" the second "Plague", and the third "I CANNOT KILL!". All are available on amazon.com, waterstones.com and at barnesandnoble.com. Until Warner Bros (or Peter Jackson, I don't mind!) buy them I spend my working life as a security guard for one of the largest food manufacturers in Europe. I've also started writing my fourth novel. View all posts by philjoncook
