#writing #fantasy Advertising a necessary pain

What a relief! “Plague”, my second fantasy novel, is now available on Kindle and within three weeks should be available for sale on-line in paperback. Apparently it takes three to six weeks to get listed on Amazon, B&N, W H Smiths and Waterstones.

The advertising of both books is now well underway in the locality – it will take longer in the big cities. My friends, the best lorry drivers in the world, are distributing my business-card type adverts all over the country. My postcards will be appearing on doorsteps globally before long! Don’t worry I will not be posting spam on twitter or on this site – but I do have to tell someone of my excitement. Previously I have only toyed with advertising my first novel and, as most people know, “toying” is a lot of nonsense, a waste of time. Now that I have both books up and running I will be advertising hopefully on a semi-professional basis until Warner Bros come along and buy into it.

On the lighter side c/o http://www.squidoo.com/welsh-jokes

Did you hear about the ice-cream man, he was found dead in his ice-cream van, covered in chocolate sauce and hundreds-and-thousands? The police said that he had topped himself.
Two aerials met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony was rubbish but the reception was brilliant.

Ta-ta for now.
